AGM plus a look at how the Transit of Venus actually allowed astronomers to dimension the solar system (and beyond), then go on to calculate the speed of light. The incomplete, inaccurate explanations that we all saw in the media during last year's transit (and will see again at the meeting) will be corrected. We haven't looked at any astronomy for a while and this will be a good time to have another good look.
