The April meeting was a visit to the FedSat control centre at the Levels to see the 10:06 am pass of FedSat. Professor Bill Cowley gave a brief history of the FedSat project followed by a visit to the control room where the satellite was seen passing over. Due to some software problems the satellite was due for a reboot on this pass so there was much activity, and some anxious moments, during the presentation. This was a fascinating visit and our thanks goes to Professor Cowley for making this possible.
